T20 defeat: Dhoni blames lack of partnerships

Indian captain MS Dhoni blamed  India's 6 wicket defeat against England  in the T2o match  on  the batsmen's failure to build partnerships.

"Partnership is key, doesn't matter what format it is. Once you lose quick wickets, like we did after 12 overs, it doesn't help. You want to have at least five or six wickets in the slog overs," remarked Dhoni after his side lost nine wickets.

India were 104 for one in the 13th over before being bowled out for 165, with three balls remaining.

Sree says , " England have played well"

Interacting with media after the second day’s play here, Sreesanth said: “Honestly, they (England batsmen) played well. You can’t take anything out of them because they played really well. They attacked. They stayed there. They kept leaving the good balls and they didn’t go fetching outside the off-stump. (Except) a couple of good shouts (nothing happened) but honestly it was also a pure batting track as well.”

BANGLADESH SHOCKS ENGLAND

England suffered a shock two-wicket defeat against Bangladesh and will almost certainly need to beat the West Indies in their final Group B match to avoid another early World Cup exit.
Andrew Strauss’ team produced a fightback with the ball in defence of a vulnerable total, as they had in Sunday’s win over South Africa, in yet another thrilling instalment of their eventful but frustrating campaign.
Yet even after Imrul Kayes (60) ran himself out to kick-start a rush of four wickets for 15 runs and Ajmal Shahzad (three for 43) produced a wonderful spell with the old ball, Mahmudullah and Shafiul Islam gritted their teeth and hit lustily in an unbroken ninth-wicket stand of 58.
It proved just enough to scramble past 225 all out, with an over to spare, as the co-hosts kept their tournament prospects alive to the delight of a baying sell-out crowd under the lights of the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Unless Bangladesh encounter their own unexpected setback against Holland on Monday, England will therefore have to beat the Windies three days later to reclaim a quarter-final place..

England 225 (49.4 ov)
Bangladesh 227/8 (49.0 ov)
Bangladesh won by 2 wickets (with 6 balls remaining)

Netherlands scares England and shows they are AMUL team.

Netherlands put up a brave fight against England in Nagpur.  They lived upto their new sponsor's name.  AMUL means Priceless, of inestimable worth.

Ryan ten Doeschate struck an impressive 119 to help Netherlands reach a daunting 292 for 6 against England in their opening encounter. However, it was not enough as England reached the 293 with six wickets in hand. He was declared the Man of the Match.
